Term 3 Fridge Calendar ready

The Term 3 fridge calendar is available for you to put up at home and see what we are doing this coming term.

Term 3 Calendar updated

Hey I have updated the cubs Google Calendar for Term 3. We have altered a bit due to changing our focus towards Cuboree and getting everyone eligible up to the Silver Boomerang level. This is the minimum needed to attend.

Well done to Aaron Bradshaw on earning his Bronze Boomerang. This cub has worked hard and has done most outside of our den nights.

Astronomy night

Last night was all about the stars. We had one cub bring in  their model of the solar system and then gave a presentation from a.powerpoint presentation he had put together. A great effort Harrison.

Xander was next with his star sphere that placed the constellations on the roof of the den.

We then had telescope activitiee and a navigate by the stars session.

Well.done Cubs enjoy next week while I take a well deserved break. See you in term 3.

RSL Visit

Last night saw 20 of our Cubs venture out on a Monday night to go visit the local RSL in Beenleigh. The visit completes the requirements to obtain the Our Heritage badge. This is earned by attending the ANZAC day march and one other activity around the ANZAC's.

We were kindly shown the RSL's collection of
War items from Gas masks, rations, backpacks and of course rifles, swords and knives. We also got to view a leopard tank and big artillery gun outside.

We would like to thank the RSL for their time last night especially Max who was so good with the cubs.

Beenleigh Cane Festival

Hi, finally got the time to put this together. The Beenleigh Cane Festival is one of the yearly events that we attend to promote the rich heritage of Beenleigh and it's links to the Sugar Cane industry.

The festival is built around the first cane harvest of the year. This year festival was themed QLD heritage and our cubs did a great job on the banners, which were ok'd newspaper cuttings supersized.

We had a great turn out around 13 Cubs, not our normal full suite but we were competing with sport.
